For Church For Church ((ノルウェー語:For kirke)) is a parish church in the municipality of Steinkjer in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stod. The church is part of the Stod parish in the Nord-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white stone church was constructed in 1846 using a design by Hans Ditlev Franciscus von Linstow. It was consecrated on 15 October 1846. The building seats about 400 people. ==History== The present church site has long been the site of a church, but little is known about the churches that stood there before 1648. There presumably was a stave church was where the main building of the parsonage now stands. In 1648, a wooden church was built which was the main church for the parish. It was consecrated in 1650 by Bishop Erik Bredal and was probably west of today's church. After about 200 years, the church was in poor condition and the congregation wanted the old church torn down. The service held on 20 July 1845 was the last time the old church was used before its demolition. The old church's pulpit, organ, and baptismal font were installed in the new church. A new altar was built for the new church—the old one was not kept.
